Welcome to WYD, where I've been having a blast uploading most of my Beatlepics! I get really excited when I realize that some people (other than me) might actually see this, so please leave a comment or something to let me know what you thought! thanks! and peace* V

I've been working like a dog

JUNE 4th, 1964

Not late at announcing an anniversary this time, on this day in 1964, filming was completed for The Beatles' first feature film, A Hard Day's Night. It had its premieres in Liverpool and London, both completely and very predictably packed with screaming teen girls ripping and pushing away just as to get a mere glimpse of at least one of their boys. It was also released along with the soundtrack album, the first of the group, or any major group at the time, to be composed fully of their own Lennon/McCartney compostions.

As a true fan, I obviously have this movie and therefore completely agree with all the positive reviews its received over the years. And I cannot help but now every single line in it as if it was a second nature...But, those who've seen it know that it's really not that hard at all. "Very clean, isn't he?" "Oh aye, he's very clean..." and so on.

"Hey Mister, can we have our ball back?!" =) love it.

It was on the set of this movie where George met the future Mrs. Harrison, the model Pattie Boyd- who was given but a single line to melt his heart, "...prisoners?!". I actually think they were an extremely cute couple, until George started changing a bit and leaving her to the sidelines...she gained a lot of my deep sympathy after I read her book, "Wonderful Today"- in which she tells the story of her life and her love triangle between George and Eric Clapton.

Pattie, already making a move, is the one modelling George's hair.

Ah, the moptop days.
Love this movie.

There is a picture of George and Pattie from A Hard Day's Night, and I almost died when I saw how cute George looked in it.

There it is, I believe.

I don't know, something about the striking beauty of George's face in this picture is so cute. <3
