Hey Beatlepeople!

Welcome to WYD, where I've been having a blast uploading most of my Beatlepics! I get really excited when I realize that some people (other than me) might actually see this, so please leave a comment or something to let me know what you thought! thanks! and peace* V

Thank You Girl

Inspired by the previous post of Paul and his new lady-friend, I decided to post a few of the pics that I have featuring the boys with other lady friends that were not, in fact, actually 'Beatlegirls'....cute.

TWO ABOVE AND THE ONE BELOW: Looks like these fan girls' screaming finally came to good use after all! (The pic of both with George is priceless!)

ABOVE: Paul in 1968 with Diana Ross and the Supremes.
BELOW: John in 1963 havin' a dance with singer Helen Shapiro, who appeared with them in 'Ready, Steady Go!' and also toured with them in the very early days.

ABOVE: French pop singer Sylvie Vartan gettin cozy with Paul's Hofner bass (AND JOHN!) while they were in Paris in 1964.
BELOW: Some very lucky little girl...

ABOVE AND BELOW: One of the deleted scenes from 'Help!' where Paul kinda flirts with this actress... I sorta feel bad for Paulie because his solo scene on 'A Hard Day's Night' was left on the cutting room floor as well...

Oh! Darling

Just a few new pics of the happy couple, Paul and Nanvy Shevell... I havent seen or heard enough to really have a set opinion on them- but I am pretty happy....AND she has her own millions, so that won't be an issue....

These 3 were taken on Aug 14 outside of Paul's London home in St. John's Wood (which he's had since Beatles days)- this is actually the first time they've kinda 'posed' for a pap photo- so it pretty much makes it mos def official that they're together...kinda cute ones too...

This next one was taken in London'n Heathrow Airport when the couple came back from their month-long road trip across Route 66:

My brother, Paul.

First, Paul and his brother Mike...
(Paul is on the left of this gorgeous baby pic)...

Mike McCartney, in the sixties, changed his name to McGear because of all the girls understandably harrasing him because of his name. In the early Beatle days, he took a bunch of Cavern pics- which now come at a hefty price...He was in the band called The Scaffold who had one or two hits, I think- anyway, now he's a photographer who has some really good exhibitions and plenty of support from his big bro.

Below: The Macs in 1965. ( I love this pic! )

A few years after the boys' mother, Mary, died of cancer, their father Jim married another Mary, who came with a daughter called Ruth. I don't know her age, but she must've been about 5 or 6 then. It seems they had an okay relationship because now she sometimes contributes to Beatle documentaries and stuff.

Poor Paulie

aww...he had such a cute smile....

and it stayed that way only UNTIL a quite serious little 1966 accident occured involving Paul, teeth, lips, a moped and the moon.

Here is an exceprt from an interview shortly after the accident:

"It was quite a serious accident at the time. It probably sounds daft, having a serious accident on a motorized bicycle, but I came off it hard and I got knocked about a bit. My head and lip were cut and I broke the tooth. I was only doing about 30 at the time, but it was dark and I hit a stone and went flyin' through the air. It was my fault... it was a nice night and I was looking at the moon."

HERE is a photo still of the Paperback Writer/Rain promo vid- in which you can perfectly see the missing tooth bits:
looks a bit funny..the first time i saw the video I didn't know about the accident and didn't really know what the hell had happened...

But after he had it capped he went back to being our gorgeous little Paul, with that wonderful smile and excellent bass playing that lives on forever...together with a scar on his lip that is sometimes visible...

this photo was around the late eighties... i think

When you think Beatles...you think:

THE apple.

THE girls.

THE hair.

THE suits.

THE boots.

THE humor.

THE charm.

THE friendship.

And it magically all folds into:

THAT band.

Or phenomenon...whatever you wanna call it.
